The U.S. Department of Agriculture is offering a limited number of '840' prefix Radio Frequency Identification (RFID) ear tags. These tags are for use in cattle (dairy or beef) and bison. All available '840' RFID ear tags are white button half duplex tags.
Ear tag applicators are not included with your tag order and you must get them separately from the tag manufacturer for the brand of tags you receive. You'll need to review your tags when you receive them to confirm which manufacturer you should contact to order an applicator. Do not use an incorrect applicator because it could damage your tags.
Please complete this form to request no-cost official RFID ear tags for your cattle (dairy or beef) or bison. Producers should order the number of tags you'll need for cattle or bison for one year. Veterinarians may order a quantity appropriate to their practice. Orders are in increments of 1,000.
